rib attachements to main spar.JPG (32013 bytes)

You can see from this picture the alignment of the ribs to exact locations on the main spar.  You can also see the leading edge ribs at the front of the Spar.  Note that there are several more ribs at the leading edge than in the rear part.  This is to give the leading edge the best possible shape to create the best lift possible.

Lots of ribs are now in place.  You can see that there is a very strong metal connection point from the wing to the fuselage.   You can also see the detail of work on both wings in this picture.  Great Job!   Lots of hours here.  These are all made from scratch.

This shows you that each rib is made from scratch. You can see the rudder on the right hand side of the wall here.  Man what a shop!

On each wing about 2/3 the way out is a tie down bolt to allow you to tie the aircraft down during the day or at night if need be.   Strong!

On the left is the turn pulley for the Spoilers.   You can see the pulley wheel on the right.  When you pull the spoiler handle a cable runs through this to the spoiler panel and pulls them open.   There is a spring that pulls them closed when on the ground.
