Dec 23, 2009 The new backup water system. This is an olderstyle pump that I acquired. Ray Osborne did some restoration on it for me. It still leaks a little but I am working on that. I hope to use this system for all washing and will install a separate system for drinking water. |

Mat is planning to only use the city water for drinking and he is going to use his sump water for every thing else , or as he put it
"why use good water for everything when you have lots of water in the sump ?" |

Nov 2007
Yes the solar water heater sits on top of a cistern I created in the summer of 2007. The solar water heater is incomplete as of nov 2007 but it does produce a lot of hot water. Plans are underway to complete the solar water heater so that it has a cover for the cold nights. So far the temperature keep[s above freezing. The cistern will have a water pump and pressure system that will service all the washing. Drinking water is yet to be determined. |

Summer of 2007 Luckily for me I decided to put and ev ew trough on the barn and then collect the rain water. This was very fortuitous for the very dry summer of 2007! |
