Wes Whitehurst in his Carbon Monarch

The Monarch is a tailless sailplane with a swept forward, tapered wing planform and features conventional 3-axis aerodynamic control system. The Monarch is highly maneuverable with an excellent control response permitting flying in winds up to 20 mph. The Monarch has soared above 6,000 ft many times on thermal currents and is capable of distance flights of 200 miles or more.

The fuselage and wing primary structure is molded from fiberglass and epoxy resin. All fittings are aircraft grade steel. Control pushrods are aluminum alloy with ball bearing ends. You may build your own Monarch from a kit or build everything yourself from scratch. .
