Thats Pat Edwards who has just finished the basic Monarch fuselage kit ready for shipment. (seat is not installed on the kit). Note the wing "D" tube in the background. All the hardware must now be added to the fuselage. Photo f1
Here is some of the hardward installation. Bolt positions are marked in the fuselage shell by a dimple.Photo f2

Don holding the fuselage shows the wooden Fin spar with the upper and lower Fin rib shown on sheet 20 of the plans. The fin ribs are made of Fiberglass edged with wood. Photo f4

Here is Don's top view of the Control stick rudder pedals and release mechanism.Photo f3

 

Here Don has installed the Rudder. Note the fiberglass ribs. The Rudder is constructed following the directions on sheet 1. The building of the Rudder is one of the first things one should consider making since it employs the technique of fiberglass ribs capped with wood which is used extensively in the wing. Photo f5
