10:00 am -Introduction to Carbon rods and their properties compared to wood, aluminum and fiberglass

Hand layup rovings compared to Carbon rods

11:00am Question and answers on General spar constructon methods

12:00 Lunch $5 in the pot for a smorgasbord style cold lunch

1:00 pm Work the math for calculating the number of rods required

3:00 pm Use the computer spreadsheet for calculating spars for individual projects

4:00 pm Build sample spars! -Get your hands in the building

6:00 pm Dinner break

7:30 pm Film on the testing of the Genesis spar testing to destruction, Marske Pioneer Movies, shop work, discussion, personal projects
