Covering
Working with fabric is fun! The process is quite simple. This process is very volatile and needs a lot of ventilation. Have all doors and windows open with lots of fans and a stiff breeze blowing through. A charcoal activated chemical mask is recommended.

Apply the glue thickly, I use Poly-tak, aircraft fabric cement, to the surface that will be glued then let it dry. |
|
Spread out the fabric 1.7 ounce and cut it rougly to shape holding it with spring clamps. |
|
Once you have the fabric somewhat stretched out and held with spring clamps you wet the cloth with the glue solvent, Poly Fiber Reducer R65-75, at the corners on the previously glued surfaces. This will dry almost instantly, then dab the solvent say half way along the wing length. Eventually all areas will be glued.

Get out the Iron,( preferrably the teflon one your wife prizes ) and set the temperature to about 240 degrees F and slowly shrink the fabric being carefull not to pull the fabric too tight on one side, do both sides at the same time, turning the wings every so often. |

Mike doing the overlap on the fabric. Make this overlap on the bottom side where it does not show from the upper surface. |
